Drum Spotter |
This innovative drum handler is designed to easily move a rimmed 55-gallon drum (210 liter drum) onto and off pallets up to 6" high. To lift a drum, roll the Drum Spotter to the corner of a pallet. Position the handle so the hooks are positioned below the drum rim. Pull the handle down to lift the drum clear of the pallet. Dual ratchets hold up the drum when the handle is pulled down. The operator then holds no weight and does not need to balance the Drum Spotter. Drum stays upright to be wheeled away.
To lower a drum to the floor or onto a pallet, the operator pushes down and uses the two hand operated releases which allow the handle to rise. The length of the handle provides leverage to manage the descent of the drum gently.
The handle of the Drum-Spotter is conveniently held up by a gas spring. The ratchets stop the handle in position for the operator to take hold and use it. These ratchets also hold the weight of the drum when lifted.
